A list of fun, creative things I plan to do this summer--won't you join me?
Liz Lamoreux's Inner Excavate-Along based on her book, Inner Excavation: Exploring Your Self Through Photography, Poetry and Mixed Media. This is a read-and-do along of her creative book. It's FREE and starts June 11.
Karen Walrdon's #instacamp. It's also FREE and starts June 4. All you need is your camera on your smartphone. Take summer-inspired pics use the hashtag #instacamp when posting them to social media like Instagram, Twitter, or Flickr. (Facebook won't work because you can't search people's timelines using a hashtag--thank God.) Karen will be posting prompts and some of her favorite pics on her blog.
I've been playing around already with paint based on Flora Bowley's book, Brave Intuitive Painting-Let Go, Be Bold, Unfold!: Techniques for Uncovering Your Own Unique Painting Style. She recommends painting BIG, expansive, unleashed canvases. Here are two of my paintings so far. I am nowhere near complete. I include them here to show that anyone can paint. The process is so much more fun and important than the finished product.
What will you be doing at home for fun this summer?
