I Have a Dream, Here's to the Crazy Ones, and Week Three of The Play Project

Not much to report from Week Three of The Play Project. I mostly painted based on the Visual Quest ecourse and read a novel which I finished.

This past Friday my husband and I had a date night. We saw the Jobs movie which we both enjoyed. At the very end of the movie, Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs reads the words from Apple's Think Different marketing campaign. On this, the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Martin Luther King, Jr.'s I Have a Dream speech, I share the words from that campaign here. They give me goosebumps. (MLK was one of those change makers featured in the campaign.)

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as crazy, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

I have a dream. I want to change the world. Am I crazy enough to do it?

Forward.
